Yale Day of Service

Thank you! During the last Yale Day of Service, over 4000 members of the worldwide Yale family came together to make a difference where our alumni live, setting a new record for participation. The Yale Club of Philadelphia also had more volunteers this year.

Thank you to each and every volunteer who contributed their time and effort or donated office supplies to support Philadelphia’s LIFT Center, established by two Yale grads to help people out of poverty. Alumni, their spouses and children gathered at LIFT, split into teams and grabbed gloves, trash bags, shovels and brooms to collect rubbish from the sidewalks and streets, brightening the neighborhood and lifting the residents’ spirits.

Lisa, Catherine, Pedro and the entire Council of the Yale Club of Philadelphia offer our heartfelt thanks for taking the time to make that difference. Participation in the Yale Day of Service is just one way you give back and continue the great tradition of service at Yale. Our local communities are better off because our alumni live here and engage in efforts to improve everyone’s lives through Days of Service and other activities. What a remarkable accomplishment!

Mark your calendars now for next year’s Yale Day of Service, May 13th, 2017!
