We are in need of a coordinator for our mentorship program!

The Club is exploring the idea of taking on a mentoring program for first generation and Pell Grant college students. This is a web-based program that guides mentors and mentees through the process. Mentors would spend 2-3 hours/week. Comparable programs elsewhere have led to substantial increases in graduation rates.

The Mentor Coordinator will be the Club’s point person for this project. This would involve helping to recruit mentors, keeping track of the mentor pool, responding to mentors’ concerns, contacting colleges that might take up this project for their students (we already have 2-3 schools lined up), and mentoring, if so desired.
